Dééfait

Somewhere between krautrock, noise rock, decaying psychedelia, and pagan proto-punk, Dééfait performs music like a ritual — in trance, on repeat, without a safety net. Formed in Paris in 2023 by Riki Lara, Lucas and Pablo Valero, Enir Da, and Grégoire Couvert, the band channels a physical, hallucinatory tension where guitars, percussion, and voices merge into one dense, hypnotic flow. Their self-titled debut EP (Dcember 2025, Ici, d’ailleurs) delivers six long tracks that sound like pagan litanies — a sonic monologue where desire, sacrifice, and alienation blur into ecstatic chaos. From the trance-like "We Love Each Other So Much That We Won’t Belong To Any Species Anymore" to the convulsive "Alether" , Dééfait pushes noise to the edge of possession. Recorded in DIY urgency and mixed raw, the EP captures the band’s live energy — dirty, visceral, and possessed. Think Terminal Cheesecake, Boredoms, The Birthday Party, or CAN dissected under a strobe light — yet Dééfait stands as its own creature, feral and alive. Debut album was recorded by Peter Deimel at legendary Black Box Studios. It will be released in October 2026 on highly respected French indie label Ici d'ailleurs. After playing at La Route du Rock (winter edition) and The Great Escape Dééfait will soon be announced on other key events.
