DJ Boogz

Derrick “ DJ Boogz “ Palacios is a Bronx New York native. He is quickly making his splash into the music industry with his televised show “In Studio with DJ Boogz” and his songs which feature a lot of today's upcoming artist. Growing up in the rough section of the Bronx, DJ Boogz was destined not to be the product of his environment. He is the oldest of three and comes from a Honduran background single parent household. He credits his mother as being his role model and says “She is the example of a strong woman“. He quickly became interested in becoming a DJ at the age of 12, after hearing the legendary DJ Kid Capri set. He would try to imitate his performance by recording songs on the radio and play them back on two different cassette decks. He quickly began to master the art of mixing when he was first introduced to his very first pair of turntables. 
 Today he credits DJ Funkmaster Flex, DJ Clue, DJ Ron G and DJ Kay Slay as his musical influences. DJ Boogz say’s “ There is not another DJ that was born in the 90’s in my area that is really doing it, and I want to be the one to represent the 90’s music circuit as far as DJ’s are concerned. While getting endorsement from celebrities, top executives and producers in the music industry, Dj Boogz is certainly on his way to becoming the next big time DJ to hail out of New York
