Gina Pelosi
An underground indie folk artist.
Tracks1
Honest, aching lyrics and a pinch of jazz woven into warm indie folk. Basel-based singer-songwriter Gina Pelosi draws her superpower from fragile moments and transforms uncomfortable feelings into an inescapable, firm embrace. She sings about interpersonal connections, transcience and mental health, while the singer's clear vocals build the heart of her songs. Gina Pelosi’s debut single “Love Eyes” is a wistful reminder of a person's loving gaze that got lost over time, but which painfully lingers in you when you observe it in others. Recorded as a one-take during an intimate studio live session, the singer finds strength in raw, fragile words and jazzy melodies. Inspired by artists such as Lizzy McAlpine, Eloise, Laufey, Olivia Dean, Cyrille Aimee and Lianne La Havas.
