JARZMO [ya-shmoh] is a story told by a duo of musicians about a pre-apocalyptic reality: foggy, cold and drowning in electronic waste, in which the melody of oberek played a hundred years ago by a village musician at the edge of a field still resounds... Expect a strong hit, catchy riffs and melodic sensitivity. Their sound refers equally to classical music, and stoner rock, as for Polish traditional music. The duo was formed in Kraków PL, in late 2022 as an attempt to build the fullest possible sound using only two instruments and vocals. It evolved naturally towards dirty industrial with a folk flair given by the characteristics of the nyckelharpa. This combination turned out to be a proper sonic background for the idea behind the band's name and the specific mission: to describe contemporary global problems such as overproduction, overpopulation, and the climate crisis, with music. Nostalgia for the old days of our ancestors who lived in harmony with the rhythm of nature, is changing into the growing anger at the human race, rushing towards inevitable defeat.
