Joey Konopka is a 20-year-old independent artist from Hillside, New Jersey. He began his songwriting journey at 14 years old, drawing inspiration from artists like Olivia Rodrigo, Taylor Swift, Conan Gray, and other introspective songwriters. At 16, he began to share his music on social media, which helped him gain confidence in his craft. At 18, Joey released his first single, “i look back,” funded by the money he made selling brownies at his high school. After countless hours of hard work—working jobs and studio time—he launched his debut EP, “NOT GONNA LIE,” at 19. While he’s still on the path to building his following, Joey remains dedicated to growing as an artist and embracing the journey ahead while sharing his experiences of his coming of age as a queer person!
