Julia Raye is a singer songwriter from Long Island, New York. Raye began performing onstage as a child, staring in local theatre productions and taking classical vocal lessons. By age 17, she had performed in over twenty musical theatre shows along with performances with the New York All State Choir and ACDA All National Choir. She studied Vocal Performance with Grammy Award winner and Metropolitan Opera alumni George Shirley at the University of Michigan. Always being drawn to R&B and pop music, she now writes and releases her own pop songs that showcase her classical voice training.
