Julieta Eugenio

Argentinian saxophonist Julieta Eugenio is one of the most compelling young voices in contemporary jazz. Based in New York City since 2013, she combines lyrical expression with commanding improvisation, earning international recognition as both a performer and composer. After establishing herself on the Buenos Aires jazz scene, Eugenio moved to New York to complete a Master’s degree in Jazz at Queens College. She has since performed alongside celebrated artists including Johnny O’Neal, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Eric Reed, Joe Farnsworth, Pasquale Grasso, and Bertha Hope, while appearing at leading venues such as Jazz at Lincoln Center, Dizzy’s, Smalls, and major jazz festivals across the U.S. and Europe. Her debut album, JUMP (Greenleaf Music, 2022), won the DCJazzPrix. Her second album release, STAY (2024), received widespread critical acclaim, earning four-star reviews from DownBeat and All About Jazz, which praised her expressive playing, commanding tone, and inventive improvisations. She has also been featured on WBGO, ABC7 News, and Radio France.
