A homegrown, underground progressive metal act.
JUODVARNIS is a progressive metal band from Vilnius, Lithuania, formed in 2011. 2014 marks the release of the debut album ‘Šauksmai iš praeities’. In 2016 the follow-up record ‘Mirusio žmogaus kelionė’ was released. The band toured locally and abroad. However, after the line-up changes and other difficulties the band had to press a pause on their musical career. Nevertheless, this short hiatus laid a foundation for a new album. In 2019 ‘Nerimo dienos’ was recorded, and released in 2020 via ‘Dangus’. The album was received very well by critics and the public. The band’s performances stand out from others by their sheer energy and openness to the fans. No gig is ever the same, but it is always a captivating and illuminating experience. In 2024 the band released a new single ‘Svoris’ illustrated by a beautiful music video, followed by 'Juodos Akys' and 'Laikui Varvant' in 2025. Juodvarnis' 4th album 'Tėkmės' was released on 23rd Jan 2026.
