Kajetan Galas

Kajetan Galas – organist, pianist, winner of first place in the organ category in the critics’ poll of Jazz Forum magazine in 2020 and 2022, as well as first place in the readers' poll in 2021. He is an official artist of Hammond Polska. He is the leader of the original project Organ Spot, with which he released two albums – a debut album called Organ Spot, and his second album, titled Oitago in 2025. Kajetan is a member of several bands, including Michal Urbaniak Organator, Stanisław Soyka & Arek Skolik Trio, Margo Zuber, Yarosh Organ Trio, Patrycjusz Gruszecki Trio, Tomasz Pruchnicki Quartet, Krzysztof Lenczowski Trio, Jacek Niedziela-Meira Trio, Nie-Bo and many others.. For several years, he collaborated with Janusz Muniak co-creating one of his final musical projects. He graduated from the jazz piano class at the Academy of Music in Kraków and the Kraków School of Jazz and Contemporary Music. He also studied Hammond Organ Major in ArtEZ Conservatory in Enschede, NL. Kajetan is a laureate of the 2023 Creative Scholarship of the City of Kraków, a scholarship recipient of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, a multiple scholarship holder of the Rector of the Academy of Music in Kraków, and a winner of the My Polish Heart Foundation Award. He has also won numerous jazz competitions, including the Blue Note Jazz Competition, Jazz nad Odrą, Azoty Tarnów International Jazz Contest, Novum Jazz Festival, and Krokus Jazz Festival.
