A vocalist and dancer born in New Orleans with a nomadic childhood, Lake Dorn (She/her) grew up singing in the church while also pursuing athletics and the performing arts. After moving to New York, Lake trained as a modern dancer, performing at venues including the Guggenheim Museum, The Whitney Museum, Performance Space NY, MoMA PS1, The MoCA Los Angeles, The Getty, and more. Since the release of their debut album, Prepare the Body (2020), the artist has since transitioned. Lake’s upcoming sophomore album, Black American Princess reflects this evolution.
