Lakeside X is an alternative pop/rock band from Prague, blending synth-pop (Depeche Mode), modern electronic music (Royksopp), and British rock (Placebo). Their music combines melancholy and energy, intertwining synths with guitars and characterized by the distinctive voice of Janne Marvannen. The lyrics explore themes like loneliness, love, and inner struggles. The band has released four albums and gained fans worldwide, including in Europe, the USA, and Argentina. After a 10-year hiatus, they reunited in 2020 and began collaborating with producer Daniel Myer (Haujobb, Covenant). Their album Love Disappears (October 2022) was introduced through singles like "Fire In The Sky" and "Time Has Come" and celebrated with a release party at Prague’s Lucerna Music Bar. In 2023, Lakeside X toured extensively, supporting acts such as And One and Forced To Mode and performing at major events like NCN Festival and Schwarze Ball. A significant milestone was supporting Depeche Mode at their Prague concert in July 2023. The year concluded with the release of their fifth single, "Fascination." In 2024, the band began with a tour across twelve German cities with Empathy Test and performed at one of Europe’s largest festivals, the Serbian Exit, during the summer.
