Modern Alibi

Modern Alibi is a high-energy alt rock band from Charlotte, NC, founded by musician and songwriter, Holden Scott. The band features Holden Scott on rhythm guitar and lead vocals, Josh King on bass, Christian Sturt on drums, and Carter Ritz on lead guitar. Their sound has been described as a blend of the Arctic Monkeys and twenty one pilots. The band released its debut EP, "M/A Extended Play," in March 2024 followed by its 12-song debut album, “American Radio” in April 2025. The band’s catalogue has over 300K monthly listeners on Spotify and nearly 20 million streams. Known for energetic, hard-hitting live shows, the band opened for Friday Pilots Club in 2024, the All-American Rejects in October 2025, and iDKHow for 2 shows in November 2025. In 2024, the band performed at the inaugural Lovin’ Life Festival and the main stage at Charlotte Pride Festival. In 2025, Modern Alibi headlined sold-out and near sold-out shows at some of Charlotte’s premier independent venues. In December 2025, the band headlined shows at Mercury Lounge in NYC, World Café Live in Philly, and Songbyrd in DC, marking their first headlining shows in these cities. In June of 2026, Modern Alibi will be going on their 14-city “Catch My Signal” Tour featuring two newly released singles beginning with the Let’s Go Festival in Crownsville, MD and ending with Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI. Modern Alibi has also been in the studio working on its second album which it expects to release in the fall of 2026.
