Nicolò Francesco Faraglia

Nicolò Francesco Faraglia, born in 1992, approached the guitar at the age of 11. After studying classical guitar he decided to enrol on a bachelor degree program in Siena Jazz, where he studied with Roberto Cecchetto, Stefano Battaglia, Mirco Mariottini, Silvia Bolognesi and others. He represented his institution through festivals and exchange programs such as Trento Conservatory, Musicus Concentus in Florence and Siena Jazz Festival. In 2017 he played in Chigiana’s music festival “Tradire“, with Mirco Mariottini, Giovanni Falzone and “ The New Borders Ensemble“. From 2017 to 2019 he took part in the permanent musical research laboratories of the pianist Stefano Battaglia working on the trio and quartet. In August 2019 he has been selected to be part of new Stefano Battaglia’s ensemble named “Tabula Rasa”. In 2019 came out his first album “Smòs Octet”, released by Aut Records. In 2020 he became part of Giovanni Guidi’s Little Italy Orchestra. In 2021 he took part in “Us in Time” for Accademia Chigiana, playing “Music in Similar Motion” by Philip Glass, directed by Tonino Battista. Among the italian festivals he played in Roma Jazz Festival, Double Sky Festival, Lucca Jazz, Umbria Jazz, Il Jazz italiano per le terre del sisma, Musicus Concentus, Fara Jazz, Chigiana Festival.
