Pagansarv is an emerging black metal force from South-Estonia, founded in 2021 when local scene veterans Pimedus (vocals, lyrics) and Argoth (music, instruments) reunited creatively after their earlier collaboration in the band Urt. Drawing heavily from pagan ideology, Pagansarv’s sound is rooted in black metal, infused with strong Scandinavian influences — a natural reflection of Estonia’s harsh climate, darkness, and desolate landscapes. To date, Pagansarv has released two full-length albums: Kaarnakarva (2021) and Pööriööl (2025), both of which solidified the band’s presence in the Estonian underground black metal scene. Following an active and successful live year in 2025, the band sought to expand its sonic and creative boundaries. In early 2026, drummer Marthyr joined Pagansarv, bringing renewed momentum and a more powerful, dynamic force to the band’s future material.
