Formed in Rīga in 1981, Pērkons is a prominent Latvian rock band celebrated for fusing classical structures with high-energy hard rock and politically charged poetry. Their sound bridges traditional folk elements with subversive 1980s rock rebellion. They remain an influential pillar of the Baltic music underground.
