A queer, stylish ebm artist.
Ray Noir is the disruptive queer artist kicking the alt-scene in the teeth, fusing metal aggression, electronic club energy and unapologetic queer chaos into what he calls cvnty queer rave-metal. Born in Oslo's black-metal underground and sharpened in London's clubland, Ray delivers heavy beats, razor-sharp guitars and larger-than-life theatrics for outsiders, misfits and anyone who refuses to fit the mould. Breaking through with his 2024 mixtape Scorpio Mixtape (Deluxe Edition) (Top 5 German Alternative Charts), Ray earned praise from Kerrang! and BBC Radio 1, followed by the EP Against The Machine EP featuring guitar legend Steve Stevens. Live, Ray Noir is less a gig and more a confrontation, a collision of theatre, fashion and ferocity. With sold-out headline shows in London and Oslo, plus support slots for Combichrist and Die Krupps, Ray isn’t asking for space in alternative music, he’s taking it.
Ray Noir plays an aggressive blend of industrial metal, electronic club beats, and darkwave rooted in alternative subcultures.
Ray Noir is based in London, United Kingdom, drawing initial influences from Oslo's black-metal underground.
