Rowan has been fascinated by Mongolian music since 2006. The first time he travelled to Mongolia was in 2007, when he was 18 years old. Ever since then his life was intertwined with Mongolian culture. And specifically Mongolian music and throat singing. During that time he also started learning to play the Scottish bagpipes. And it was a long dream to combine bagpipes with throat singing. Besides this combination, Rowan plays various traditional Mongolian instruments, such as; Morin Khuur, Altai Yatga, Ikel, Tovshuur and different types of mouth harps.
