Simon Goff

Simon Goff’s unique sonic language synthesizes the worlds of classical chamber music with textural, modular electronics and cinematic ambience. The classically trained British musician, now based in Berlin, has collaborated with the likes of Jóhann Jóhannsson and Hildur Guðnadóttir, and provided scores and engineered works for multiple award-winning TV shows and films [including Chornobyl, The Gold, and more]. With his third solo album released in September 2026, the accomplished violinist explores the sound of orchestral minimalism, recording harmonics in industrial landmarks across the continent, and rooting the musical language to the human experience through acoustic instrumentation and modular synths. It’s a sound that best represents his live work, as Goff uses his background in violin with modern electronic tools to explore the dialogue between symphonic and modular synthesis, and the ideological premises established by the likes of Steve Reich and Terry Riley.
