A high-energy, underground riot grrrl artist.
Teen-punk sensations Steatopygous are a feminist hardcore/screamo 4 piece hailing from Wiltshire. Formed by best friends Poppy (vox) and Eliza (bass) while still at school, and rounded out by Rufus (guitar) and Ewan (drums), they sing about body image, misogyny and toxic masculinity and land somewhere between Bratmobile and Foxtails. Their demo tape was featured in The Quietus' Top 10 Punk and Hardcore Releases of 2025 and their debut EP and first vinyl release, Songs of Salome, came out to rave reviews late last year. They've played shows with Other Half, Perennial, Gimic and Had Sandy and are heading out on their first UK tour in 2026. Loud and chaotic live, it usually ends with everyone in a heap on the floor...and that sounds fun, right?
