i’ve always been inspired by nostalgia. by the pacific northwest where I grew up: summer drives through the eastern washington desert listening to my dad’s favorite 70s records, the silhouette of windmills and wild horses in the fading light, the shadow of the pines reflecting off the lake in the moonlight. by the rock & roll and old films i grew up on: kurt cobain and seattle grunge, brigitte bardot and old hollywood, fame and loneliness. above all, by hopeless romanticism: pablo neruda's poetry, analog photography, beautiful lonely cities like paris and los angeles. a world of excess and pleasure haunted by bygone youth and broken hearts. a nostalgia for the timeless beauty in the ephemeral - 虎花
