An underground pop punk act.
Victory Kid are Southern California’s answer to a question that has yet to be asked. With their high-energy blend of Punk-Rock and Ska they allude to a time when everything was possible and nothing was off the table. The band members love surfing, tacos and heartfelt music. In the early morning hours they can frequently be found at the beach in El Porto or at various Taco Trucks around Los Angeles. In 2020 Victory Kid signed to the Austrian Punk Label SBÄM! Their songs My World and No Brakes were both featured in the video game blockbuster Fortnite. And last summer Victory Kid embarked on their first European tour opening for Mad Caddies and The Bouncing Souls. Mastermind Allan Hessler (The Used, Goldfinger, Story Of The Year) engineered, mixed, mastered and co-produced their debut album Discernation. The horns were tracked by Matt Appleton of Reel Big Fish/ Goldfinger. The band draws inspiration from bands like Sum 41, blink-182 and Sublime. Currently the band is in the mixing stage of their follow-up album they recorded with producer Mike Pepe (Taking Back Sunday). The 17 track album is scheduled to be released later this year.
