The Cable Street Rag Band

At Limehouse de Reverie, Ewan Bleach performs with residents The Cable Street Rag Band. Formed at the Cable Street studios in Limehouse, the group specializes in rags but also explores a broad repertoire of old-style jazz, blues, song-book foxtrots, and swing numbers. Their performances often feature various dance music styles from around the world, including waltzes, beguines, tangos, and polkas, with all material dating from the 1850s through the 1940s. The band's musical style incorporates influences from Django Reinhardt and the wider Manouche tradition, alongside Eastern European and Klezmer sounds. They also perform classic swing hits, including songs by the legendary Barry Sisters.
