Experience Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, a masterpiece of hope, performed by the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra at De Doelen this December in Rotterdam.
Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony celebrates brotherhood and hope. In the days leading up to Christmas, this concert offers a vision of a harmonious world. Written two centuries ago, the Ninth Symphony remains a landmark of humanity and artistic achievement. The performance begins with Arvo Pärt's contemplative 'Fratres' (Brothers), which provides a meditative contemporary contrast to Beethoven's powerful 'Ode to Joy'.
