Dope Purple is a Taiwanese psychedelic and noise rock band founded in Taipei in 2016, featuring massive guitar noise and floating saxophone sounds to take audiences on a chaotic psychedelic journey through the East. Their performances are marked by extended, highly ritualized passages that build toward a cathartic peak. In 2025, the band released their fourth vinyl album, Children In The Darkness, through European labels, followed in 2026 by Live Evil, a collaborative album recorded with Kawabata Makoto of Acid Mothers Temple.
