A Thousand Journeys Before Me is an intimate Afro-cinematic concert created by Ghanaian-Italian composer and pianist Gabriel Abedi, featuring live poetry by Kehath "Nkumu" Ifasso. The performance weaves together contemporary classical compositions, traditional West African music, strings, piano, voice, percussion, electronics, and poetry. The project reflects on themes of ancestry, identity, cultural memory, and navigating life across different worlds.
