Hailed by The New York Times as "one of the most affecting contemporary songwriters, in any genre" and by Forbes as a "magical existence," Samora shapes new worlds through his art, honesty, and sensitivity. Born and raised in the Bay Area, Pinderhughes began playing instruments at age two and studied music at Juilliard, where he met his primary artistic mentor, MacArthur Fellow Anna Deavere Smith. He has collaborated with artists such as Common, Robert Glasper, Karriem Riggins, and Herbie Hancock.
