To Baxés Festival τιμά τη «μητέρα» της ελληνικής λαϊκής μουσικής, το Ρεμπέτικο, σε μια βραδιά γεμάτη ιστορία, μεράκι και αυθεντικότητα. Στη σκηνή του City Garden συναντιούνται δύο εμβληματικές μορφές του είδους: η μεγάλη κυρία του ρεμπέτικου, η Μαριώ, και ο σπουδαίος Γεράσιμος Ανδρεάτος. Η Μαριώ, με την αστείρευτη ενέργειά της και τη βραχνάδα που κουβαλάει δεκαετίες πάλκου, και ο Γεράσιμος Ανδρεάτος στήνουν ένα πάλκο όπως παλιά. Το πρόγραμμα περιλαμβάνει εμβληματικά τραγούδια του Μάρκου Βαμβακάρη, του Τσιτσάνη και του Παπαϊωάννου, θυμίζοντάς μας γιατί το ρεμπέτικο παραμένει η πιο ζωντανή μουσική της πόλης. Το μουσικό σώμα της βραδιάς αποτελεί η «Λαϊκή Τετράς».
