Orchestre de Paris performs Korngold’s Violin Concerto and Rachmaninov’s Symphony No. 3 with soloist Clara-Jumi Kang and conductor Roberto González-Monjas. Lineup on Mood.
A grand symphonic programme celebrating the cinematic and lyrical power of the orchestra. The concert opens with the iconic epic themes of John Williams' Star Wars, followed by Erich Wolfgang Korngold's Violin Concerto in D major, a work that blends Hollywood brilliance with soulful vocal lyricism. The evening concludes with Sergei Rachmaninov's Symphony No. 3, a late masterpiece structured around a haunting, religious-inspired motif that evolves through subtle instrumental textures and popular, dance-like rhythms.
