Swedish guitarist Ulf Wakenius, one of the leading figures in European jazz, brings his Organ Trio to Café Central. He is accompanied by organist Manrico Seghi and drummer Esteve Pi. Wakenius gained international acclaim during his ten years as a member of the Oscar Peterson Quartet from 1997 to 2007, and has collaborated with jazz greats such as Ray Brown and Pat Metheny. The trio presents an engaging set rooted in dialogue, improvisation, and swing.
