Late Nights at Monks | Demetreis Thornton Trio

Join Monks Jazz for an intimate listening-room concert and live taping featuring the Demetreis Thornton Trio. Hailing from El Paso and now establishing his presence in the Austin jazz scene, trombonist Demetreis Thornton draws inspiration from masters like Curtis Fuller, Steve Davis, and Art Blakey. Accompanied by Aidan Berg on double bass and João Camargo on piano, the ensemble performs hard-swinging bop, expressive ballads, and rhythmic grooves.
