The ensemble performs Grażyna Bacewicz's String Quartet No 3 alongside Shostakovich's renowned String Quartet No 8, a piece anchored in a motif derived from his own name. The concert also features a newly commissioned work by former Berlin Philharmonic Assistant Conductor Oscar Jockel. Formed in Salzburg and based in Vienna, the Javus Quartett blend classic chamber music traditions with contemporary musical energy.
