Pianist and composer Elio Villafranca presents Florentina, an ambitious new suite inspired by the life of Florentina Zulueta, a West African woman enslaved in Cuba. Scored for a 10-piece ensemble and choir, the performance honors her story of survival, identity, and resilience.
