An underground jazz night.
Drummer and bandleader Evan Wood performs an improvisational listening session backed by guitarist Misha Mendelenko and bassist Tim Weisman. A Connecticut native who began playing drums at an early age, Wood developed his skills through jazz band programs and formal music studies at Eastern Connecticut State University under drummer Jonathan Barber. As an active sideman and leader of projects including The Blueprint, Wood blends straight-ahead jazz, funk, hip-hop, and house traditions.
