His career in film scoring began in 1980 with 'Forbidden Zone' and flourished through a long-standing collaboration with director Tim Burton, scoring hits like 'Batman', 'Sleepy Hollow', and 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'. Beyond film, Elfman composed the iconic theme for 'The Simpsons' and has worked on major blockbusters including 'Spider-Man 2', 'Milk', and 'Silver Linings Playbook'.
