An underground world night.
Kane Mathis brings his trio to Barbès, showcasing original compositions and reimagined traditional pieces from Kora and Oud repertoires. Having studied extensively in The Gambia and Istanbul, Mathis is recognized for his virtuosity on both the Kora and Oud. His music absorbs deep traditions of Malian and Arabic music, augmenting them with unique harmonic and rhythmic flair. The trio features Moto Fukushima on bass and Rich Stein on percussion.
