Dumama, Nkisi, and Oriana Ikomo explore sound, memory, and alternative systems of knowledge at Ancienne Belgique. Tickets on Mood.
As part of the Africa Is/in the Future festival, Conversations soniques gathers three artists to examine the ties between sound, memory, and alternative systems of knowledge. The evening features an exploration of paranormal archives through sound by Nkisi and sonic poetry questioning Southern African narratives by Dumama, followed by a live musical performance from Brussels-based artist Oriana Ikomo, who combines ambient textures, subtle melodies, jazz, and minimalist R&B.
