Hailing from Brisbane, Australia, DZ Deathrays unleash a ferocious blend of garage punk, noise rock, and dancefloor-charged energy. Since emerging in the late 2000s, the duo has built a reputation for explosive live performances and a sound that thrives on the tension between raw chaos and infectious hooks. Constantly evolving, they've pushed beyond their early party-punk roots into heavier, groove-laden territory without losing their reckless edge. Their latest album, R.I.F.F. (2023), sees the band sharpening their signature mix of distortion and swagger.
