Senegalese multi-instrumentalist Dudù Kouaté meets Dutch cellist Ernst Reijseger for a night featuring solo sets from each musician followed by a collaborative duo performance. Kouaté, a member of the Art Ensemble of Chicago steeped in West African griot heritage, plays voice and diverse traditional and custom-crafted percussion. Reijseger brings an expansive approach to cello improvisation developed across decades in free music, jazz, and cinema scores.
