Led by pianist, composer, and arranger Asa Martinson, The Outlet perform a fusion of traditional jazz and modern afrobeat influences inspired by James Brown, Tony Allen, George Duke, and Julian Joseph. Formed through the Julian Joseph Jazz Academy, the group presents a night of vocal and instrumental sets featuring unreleased music and tracks from their debut EP as part of the Generation Jazz 2.0 series.
