A nostalgic, underground early music night.
A celebration of the crumhorn, a distinctive Renaissance double reed instrument popular throughout 15th- and 16th-century Europe. A consort of four to six players will perform fanfares from the steps of Garrick's Temple before moving inside to play period songs and dance tunes. The programme features musical nods to Shakespeare and David Garrick alongside explanations of the instrument's history and design.
