Catch Afriquoi live at Jazz Cafe blending African dance music with house and dubstep. Tickets on Mood.
Afriquoi are a diverse ensemble of hyper-talented musicians from Congo, Gambia, Botswana, and the UK. They blend live instruments, electronics, and vocal effects to create a unique world of African dance music. Their sound incorporates fresh UK influences like house, UK funky, dubstep, and glitch alongside traditional African melodies and harmonies, topped with ragga dancehall vocals. The result is a powerful, uplifting, and dance-friendly fusion of marimba, African guitar, djembe, and heavy beats.
