Semyon Bychkov conducts the Czech Philharmonic in a program of Smetana and Rachmaninov, featuring pianist Behzod Abduraimov. Tickets on Mood.
The Czech Philharmonic and its music director and chief conductor Semyon Bychkov perform a program highlighting their core repertoire. The evening opens with Smetana's Overture to The Bartered Bride, followed by Rachmaninov's Symphonic Dances and Piano Concerto No. 3 featuring soloist Behzod Abduraimov. Smetana's music holds a special place in the orchestra's programming, reflecting his profound influence on Czech national music. Bychkov brings his architectural musicality to Rachmaninov's late masterpiece, the Symphonic Dances, while Uzbek pianist Behzod Abduraimov, a specialist in this repertoire, performs the formidable Third Concerto.
