Stile Antico presents a moving Holy Week programme exploring the Crucifixion and Resurrection through the perspective of the women who followed Jesus. The performance contrasts poignant settings of the Stabat Mater reflecting Mary's sorrow with joyful Renaissance works marking the discovery of the empty tomb on Easter morning, featuring compositions by Palestrina, Monteverdi, Sulpitia Cesis, and Francisco Guerrero.
