Composer Thea Musgrave brings the dramatic life of Mary Stuart to the stage in this opera co-produced with the English National Opera. Returning to Scotland as an eighteen-year-old monarch, Mary must navigate a treacherous web of political rivalry and betrayal spun by her advisors and rivals. Clelia Cafiero conducts this contemporary staging directed and designed by Stewart Laing.
