Ryan Bancroft conducts the RCM Symphony Orchestra in a programme of contrasting works. The evening features Mozart’s sparkling Sinfonia Concertante for Four Winds with four Royal College of Music soloists. The main event is Carl Nielsen’s dramatic ‘Inextinguishable’ Symphony, which explores an irrepressible life force and features a notable battle between two sets of timpani. The concert opens with the open-air textures of Tumblebird Contrails by American composer Gabriella Smith.
The concert occurs on July 2, 2026, at the Royal College of Music on Prince Consort Road in South Kensington.
