Sicilian singer-songwriter blending Mediterranean jazz and folk traditions live at Biko Club. Tickets on Mood.
Cico Messina is a Sicilian singer-songwriter born in Mazara del Vallo, a Mediterranean crossroads that has deeply influenced his musical writing. His work intertwines Sicilian identity with sounds from jazz, funk, and world music, building soundscapes that speak of belonging, memory, and transformation. In his lyrics, often suspended between Italian and dialect, the linguistic stratifications of the Mediterranean and a Sicily that is never merely geographical coexist. Winner of Ethnos Generazioni and the Parodi Award for best cover.
