Ein Underground-Experimental-Abend mit lokalem Line-up.
Listen to Dek Bass Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 with a live artist conversation and cassette session at Chillzone Books. Tickets on Mood.
REProduce Amsterdam presents a special listening session for Dek Bass Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, the second release by event and film production house REProduce Artists. Compiled from the archives of West Bengal Dek Bass pioneer DJ Khabir Bass Boss from 2023 onwards, the 43-minute album represents the first formal recorded release of Dek Bass as a form. Limited edition cassettes of both volumes will be available for purchase on site. The session features a listening session of both albums along with a conversation featuring Rana Ghose, director of REProduce Artists, and The Empire Is Fragile, a Bengali sound artist and philosopher based in Amsterdam. Ghose will bring a traditional cassette "dek" from Bengal, and patrons are encouraged to bring their own cassettes to use on the deck.
