Ein Underground-Experimental-Abend mit lokalem Line-up.
Experience a collaborative improvised set by Tashi Dorji and Che Chen alongside archival cham dance films at Giorno Poetry Systems. Tickets on Mood.
Curated by filmmaker Kunsang Kyirong, this special evening features musicians Tashi Dorji and Che Chen performing a collaborative set by the Tibetan Buddhist shrine at 222 Bowery, drawing on themes of repetition and ritual abstraction. The musical performance is presented alongside two silent archival films documenting the ceremonial Tibetan Buddhist cham dance tradition, accompanied by contextual remarks on cham history from scholar Constantine Lignos of the Yale Institute of Sacred Music.
