Sinfonietta Riga and violinist Florian Donderer perform Beethoven and Terry Riley at the University of Latvia. Tickets on Mood.
Violinist Florian Donderer joins Sinfonietta Rīga as soloist and leader for a concert juxtaposing classical tradition and American modernism. The programme contrasts Ludwig van Beethoven's youthful Symphony No. 1 and Romance No. 1 for Violin and Orchestra with 20th-century visionary Charles Ives's meditative The Unanswered Question, alongside Terry Riley's minimalist milestone In C.
