Anime Rap-Events dieses Wochenende in Barcelona

Anime rap is a subgenre of hip-hop that emerged within digital spaces like SoundCloud and YouTube, where artists fuse traditional rap production with lyrical themes centered on Japanese animation, manga, and otaku culture. The instrumentation typically features trap-influenced percussion, heavy bass, and melodic samples interpolated from anime soundtracks, frequently incorporating vocal snippets from iconic series. Rhythmically, it spans various tempos, from relaxed lo-fi cadences to the high-intensity, aggressive delivery found in dark anime rap, creating a mood shifting between nostalgic introspection and high-octane battle energy. Closely related to nerdcore and otacore, the genre serves as a cultural bridge, translating anime narrative complexities into the rhythmic structures of contemporary urban music.
